How To Use ImageOnMap
The plugin this converter is designed for is ImageOnMap. Follow these directions to import the image, get the splatter map, place your item frams, and place the maps to generate your image!
Info
This "Preparer" is meant to prepare the image for import into minecraft, specifically the required size modifications, since the plugin doesn't do this automatically.
Images in minecraft are displayed on item frames through maps. Your image is then stored in these in-game maps. These maps then make up the tiles that form your image, which are placed on Item Frames. An image may be multiple frames big. Start by deciding where you want your image to go and decide the size of it by placing item frames. An example would be a 2 x 3 landscape on a wall or a 1 x 2 portrait on a wall. Any size is valid, up to a limit. Make sure your image and item frames are somewhat close or exactly matching aspect ratio.
Use this page to load in your image for preparation. You can load it either by entering a link to an image online (must end in .jpg, jpeg, or .png), dragging and dropping and image from your computer in the upload box, or click "upload from computer" to browse your files for an image. Once it is uploaded or has grabbed the image from the link, it will take you to the editing page.
Once at the editing page, enter the size you determined earlier, in item frames. Click the info button on that page for more help on editing.
Editing Instructions
Before your image can be imported into Minecraft, customize it here to fit your item frames.
First, enter the dimensions in item frames you have placed in game. Once you do so, if your image is slightly out of aspect ratio, you will see it update in the preview. The default editing method selected is "Fill", which will add a black padding around the image where the aspect ratio is not equal. The next method is "Crop" which will crop the photo to maintain aspect ratio. The last method is "Stretch" which will stretch and distort the image to take up all of the image size. It is recommended to only use this method if the aspect ratio is really close.
